Job summary

New Zealand Post is seeking a Processing Officer with forklift duties for our Hawke Bay site at Tomoana Road. Working Monday to Friday, 11:00am to 7:30pm, you will sort and dispatch parcels, operating a forklift for part of your shift.

A strong safety focus and reliable teamwork are essential for this physically demanding role. The role supports a government-owned, values-driven organisation with opportunities for development, recognition, and a secure working environment.

Qualifications

• Requires either an F endorsement or an OSH cert and restricted driver license.
• Ability to operate a forklift for up to 6 hours per shift.
• Physically able to lift up to 25 kg and work safely in a busy site.

Responsibilities

• Sort, consolidate and dispatch parcels and freight at the Hawkes Bay Operations site.
• Drive a forklift on shift and support safe working practices.
• Support team in timely processing of deliveries to couriers.

Our Processing Officers create the magic by sorting, consolidating and dispatching parcels and freight at our brand new, purpose built Hawkes Bay Operations site in Tomoana Road, ready for our couriers to deliver. We're a lively bunch, with a diverse set of skills, but we all share one common goal - to contribute to the growth and prosperity of our beautiful Aotearoa. This role will see you driving a forklift for up to 6 hours per shift, so experience, professionalism and a focus on health and safety is a must.
