Job summary

NZ Post's Whakatane branch is seeking a Processing Officer to sort, consolidate and dispatch parcels and freight early in the morning. This role supports couriers to deliver across the region and requires a reliable, safety-conscious teammate.

You’ll work Tuesday to Saturday from 3:30am to 8:30am, handling up to 25kg and using a data-led approach to keep operations smooth. Join a government-owned agency that values teamwork, development opportunities and stability.

Qualifications

• Available to work Tuesday to Saturday 03:30–08:30.
• Be a committed teammate; keep yourself and others safe.
• Energy for a physically demanding role; lift up to 25 kgs.
• Good eye for detail and geographical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Sort, consolidate and dispatch parcels and freight.
• Prepare items for couriers to deliver.
• Maintain safety and security on site.
• Contribute to branch efficiency and accuracy.
