Job summary

Three Lakes Clinic in Rotorua, North Island, seeks a Practice Nurse/Nurse Prescriber to join our small, friendly team for four days a week. The role is varied and busy, requiring an autonomous worker who can collaborate with GP and Nurse Practitioner support while delivering patient-centred care.

Applicants should have current APC with the NZ Nursing Council, general practice experience, knowledge of childhood immunisation regimes, and familiarity with MedTech systems.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in a general practice setting.
• Current Annual Practising Certificate (APC) with the NZ Nursing Council.
• Understanding of NZ Childhood Immunisation regimes.
• Legally entitled to work in NZ.

Responsibilities

Primary Care Practice Nurse/NursePrescriber

Three Lakes Clinic – Rotorua, North Island

We have a vacancy for an Practice Nurse/Nurse Prescriber to join our small friendly team for four days a week.

The role is varied and busy and requires a person who is able to work autonomously with GP and Nurse Practitioner support. Ability to work under time pressure and provide empathetic patient centred care is essential. We are looking for someone who is keen to further their education and would be to support a Nurse through the prescribing pathway.

Must have previous experience within general practice

Current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) with the NZ Nursing Council

Understanding of NZ Childhood Immunisation Regimes

Ideally have experience with:

• Patient Management Systems, preferably MedTech32 or MedTech Evolution
• Capable in long term condition management
• proficiency in ECG, dressings/wound care, suture/staple removal, and IV cannulation

You must be legally entitled to work in NZ.

Remuneration is dependent on experience.
