Job summary

CARTERS is seeking a Pricing and Estimating Coordinator at our Madras Street branch in Christchurch to provide competitive prices and accurate estimates on building materials for trade customers. You will manage estimate documentation, review price increases and freight charges, and support tender processes from start to finish to drive sales.

The ideal candidate excels at analyzing numerical data, communicates well with trade customers, and delivers precise quotations with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Analytical thinking with numerical data.
• Interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with trade customers.
• Efficient and accurate work with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and strong data entry.
• Familiarity with the building industry is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Guarantee timely and precise handling of quotations and pricing arrangements, including submission of schedules for outsourced items to be priced.
• Maintain an efficient ordering system.
• Minimize quantity surveying expenses through collaboration and coordination with manufacturing and internal sales teams.
• Collaborate with and cultivate relationships with local representatives from our preferred suppliers.
