Hagley Windows & Doors is a world class supplier of windows and door solutions to the residential and commercial construction sector and has been operating for over 50 years.
Our experienced team of 150+ operates from a high-class & purpose built facility in Waterloo Business Park and work on a range of projects right across the South Island from new homes, window replacements to large scale commercial construction projects.
This is an opportunity for either an accomplished Estimator with a proven track record or someone who has the right attitude to add value and bring your values to a highly motivated team based in our welcoming facility in Waterloo Business Park.
About the role
Your role as Estimator will be to work internally to produce technically and financially savvy cost estimates on a wide range of projects using architectural drawings and specifications to price from.
Hours of work
Your standard working hours are 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday, with start and finish times to be agreed.
In this role you will:
Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, plans, specifications and related documents.
Interpret plans, identifying suitable products to be used in relevance to specifications, plan details requirements for location and building code.
Calculate costs and estimating time scales.
Ensure quotes are prepared and entered accurately in accordance to information supplied and based on up-to-date data, using the V6 system and ESP production planning system.
Guarantee deadlines and tender closures are met.
Demonstrate leadership with our health, safety and wellness policies.
Managing the paperwork associated with pricing contracts, tenders and variations.
To be successful in this role, you will:
be able to work independently but also part of a team.
Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
Experience interpreting residential construction plans and inputting quotes in a similar role for two years.
High degree of computer literacy including experience with Excel
Experience operating V6 would be an advantage.
