Job summary

CARTERS is seeking a Pricing and Estimating Coordinator at our Madras Street branch in Christchurch to provide competitive prices and accurate estimates on building materials for trade customers. You will manage estimate documentation, review price increases and freight charges, and support tender processes from start to finish to drive sales.

The ideal candidate excels at analyzing numerical data, communicates well with trade customers, and delivers precise quotations with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Guarantee timely and precise handling of quotations and pricing arrangements, including submission of schedules for outsourced items to be priced.
• Maintain an efficient ordering system.
• Minimize quantity surveying expenses through collaboration and coordination with manufacturing and internal sales teams.
• Collaborate with and cultivate relationships with local representatives from our preferred suppliers.

As a pricing and estimating coordinator, reporting to the Pricing and Estimates Manager, at our Madras Street branch in Christchurch, you'll provide competitive prices and accurate estimates on building materials and products for our trade customers, ensuring our customers are fully prepared for construction while delivering exceptional service standards within required timeframes.

You will need to manage estimate documentation from both internal and external sources while ensuring price increases and freight charges are reviewed and applied when applicable. You will need to support the tender processes from start to finish to increase/generate sales.

To be successful in this busy role, you will need to:
