Job summary

Corys Electrical in Christchurch is seeking a Project Coordinator / Estimator to support commercial projects from quotation through to delivery. You will work with sales teams, branches, customers and suppliers to price tenders, coordinate product requirements and help ensure projects progress smoothly.

The role blends estimating, tender support and project coordination, so strong organisation, attention to detail and commercial thinking are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in estimating, project coordination, tendering, or a similar commercial role.
• Electrical wholesale/contracting or construction supply experience is advantageous.
• Ability to understand customer requirements, manage priorities and build relationships.
• Attention to detail with pricing and quotations.
• Good commercial judgement and understanding of margins and customer value.
• Ability to interpret tender documents, specifications and customer requirements.
• Strong organisation and follow-through across multiple projects and deadlines.
• Confident communication with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
• Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Business Central would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Work with sales teams, branches, customers and suppliers to support commercial projects and tender opportunities across the South Island.
• Review tender documents and specifications; prepare competitive quotations and proposals; coordinate supplier pricing and product requirements; help ensure projects progress from quotation to delivery.
• Support product selection and specification requirements; coordinate documentation and certifications; maintain contract pricing information; address customer or supplier issues as they arise.
• This hands-on role requires strong organisation, commercial thinking and attention to detail to make a real difference.
