Job summary

ALH Christchurch is seeking an experienced Architectural Builder to join a professional team delivering bespoke residential builds across Christchurch. You will handle high-quality carpentry from framing through to finishing and read detailed architectural plans.

This role offers ongoing full-time work on premium projects, the chance to work with skilled tradespeople, and a strong emphasis on craftsmanship, safety and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in residential or architectural building.
• Strong carpentry and construction skills.
• Ability to read and interpret plans.
• Attention to detail and quality-focused.
• Understanding of construction processes and site safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional attitude and strong work ethic.
• Relevant trade qualifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Complete high-quality carpentry and building work across architectural projects.
• Read and interpret detailed architectural plans and specifications.
• Work across various stages of construction, from framing through to finishing.
• Complete detailed interior and exterior work to a high standard.
• Work with a range of quality materials and specialist finishes.
• Maintain excellent attention to detail throughout each project.
• Work closely with other trades, project managers and site teams.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to specification.
