Job summary

Ampstek is seeking a Senior Data & Reporting Analyst in Auckland, NZ, with 8+ years' experience focused on Power BI and enterprise reporting. The role balances 70% reporting and 30% data engineering, with strong SQL, DAX, and data modeling requirements.

Telco exposure is a plus, and independent collaboration with business and technical teams is expected. You will design and deliver complex dashboards and BI solutions, work across data pipelines and ensure data quality, translating stakeholder

Qualifications

Strong hands-on experience in Power BI, DAX, Power Query and SQL.
Proven experience designing and delivering complex dashboards, reports and BI solutions.
Strong understanding of data modelling and reporting/analytics requirements.
Good data engineering experience, particularly with Snowflake and dbt.
Comfortable working across data pipelines, transformations, data quality and reporting datasets.
Able to work closely with business stakeholders and translate requirements into reporting solutions.
70% Reporting / Power BI and 30% Data Engineering focus.
Telco experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Candidates should be able to work independently and engage effectively with both business and technical teams.
Preferred technology stack: Power BI, SQL, Snowflake, dbt, Azure/AWS and modern data platforms.
