Job summary

Millennium Hotels and Resorts Auckland is seeking a friendly porter to join our Front Office team. This part-time position (minimum 16 hours per week) requires a Full Clean Driver's License and strong communication to assist guests and colleagues.

No previous experience is required as we provide comprehensive training and a supportive environment in one of New Zealand's leading hotel brands. You will help guests with luggage, explain facilities, and contribute to a memorable stay.

Qualifications

• No experience required for the porter role.
• Must have a Full Clean Driver's License.
• Front of house experience is helpful but training is provided.
• Be able to assist guests with luggage and mobility.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and handle enquiries to ensure a positive experience.
• Explain hotel facilities and anticipate guest needs throughout the stay.
• Assist with room service deliveries and general duties as required.
• Assist with luggage and light cleaning tasks when needed.

Do you need experience?

Ideally, you have worked front of house in a hotel before, however we offer excellent training for the hospitality professionals of the future, so experience is not essential. You are flexible with hours, and pride yourself on your ability to communicate clearly (in English) at all levels. You are looking for a role where guest comfort, safety and security is paramount and you are respected for your high standards. Previous experience with Opera is advantageous, but not required.

Must have a Full Clean Driver's License!

In this role, you will ensure a positive guest experience by being on hand to deal with enquiries, explain the hotel facilities and anticipate guest needs. Other responsibilities include hotel cleaning, delivery of room service orders and assisting where required. You will need a good level of strength and fitness to assist guests with their luggage.

This is a part-time role, minimum of 16 hours per week. $26.70 - $27.12 p/h.
