Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Scheduler/Planner for infrastructure projects in New Zealand. You will provide scheduling services, conduct baseline reviews, and prepare progress reports with emphasis on risks and opportunities.

The role requires a tertiary degree in engineering/construction/PM and a minimum of five years' on-site planning experience. Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project is essential; knowledge of Asta or similar tools is advantageous.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Scheduler / Planner on Infrastructure projects.
  • On-site construction experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project; knowledge of Asta or similar is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word.

Responsibilities

  • Provide scheduling services across diverse Infrastructure projects.
  • Conduct Pre-baseline reviews of contractor's programmes to check adherence to contractual requirements and industry standards.
  • Prepare progress update reports and highlight key schedule risks and opportunities to the clients.
  • Recommend corrective action and create acceleration programmes in case of major delays.
  • Arrange meetings with client-side stakeholders to understand inputs and deliverables and create an Integrated Master Works Programme.

Provide scheduling services across diverse Infrastructure projects

Conduct Pre-baseline reviews of contractor's programmes to check adherence to the required contractual requirements and industry standard scheduling practices.

Prepare progress update reports and highlight key schedule risks and opportunities to the clients.

Recommend corrective action and create acceleration programmes in case of major delays.

Arrange meetings with multiple client-side stakeholders to understand their inputs and deliverables during the project and create an Integrated Master Works Programme including all these dependencies linked to Main Contractor's programme.

To provide sound advice to the clients during all phases of the project regarding the most efficient timelines of carrying out multi-staged complex construction projects.

Tertiary degree in one of the following disciplines - Engineering, Construction, Building or Project Management.

Minimum 5 years' experience as a Scheduler / Planner on Infrastructure projects

Candidates with prior on-site working experience on construction projects will be preferred.

Strong knowledge of the end-to-end construction and project processes

Professional proficiency in P6 (Primavera) and MS Project. Knowledge of Asta or other programming software is advantageous.

Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc.
