Job summary

ConsultANZ in Wellington is seeking an Intermediate Planner to join a leading civil contractor. You will develop and maintain project programmes, coordinate sequencing and resource planning, and produce planning reports to support site teams.

With a Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years in project planning, you will use MS Project (Primavera P6 advantageous) and collaborate across disciplines on a major marine infrastructure project in Wellington. Mentoring and clear career progression are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years' experience in project planning, project controls, or civil construction.
• Experience on civil infrastructure projects (marine, roads, bridges, rail, water, heavy civil works) preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Project; Primavera P6 advantageous but not essential.
• Understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and project planning principles.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update project programmes using Microsoft Project (MS Project).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years' experience in project planning, project controls, or civil construction.
• Experience working on civil infrastructure projects such as marine, roads, bridges, rail, water, or other heavy civil works is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project (MS Project). Experience with Primavera P6 is advantageous but not essential.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across project teams.
