ARA Group NZ Limited trading as ARA Shelters & Structures in Auckland seeks two Graphic Designers to create advertising and digital assets for a new US-focused brand CARL’S. You will produce static ads, carousels, website graphics and email assets, working with the Performance Creative Lead and Ecommerce Lead.
The role focuses on paid social advertising, with design work across website, landing pages and emails.
CARL’S is a new food brand preparing to launch in the United States. We are building our Auckland creative team and looking for two Graphic Designers to produce advertising and digital creative that help introduce our brand and turn interest into sales.
You will create static ads, carousels, website graphics and email assets, working closely with our Performance Creative Lead, Head of Meta and Ecommerce Lead.
The role
We need designers with strong visual judgement who understand how design helps communicate a product, capture attention and encourage someone to buy.
Your main focus will be paid social advertising, supported by design work across our website, landing pages and email campaigns. You will turn creative briefs into finished assets, contribute your own ideas and use campaign feedback to improve your work.
You should enjoy producing new concepts, testing variations and maintaining a consistent brand identity across a busy creative schedule.
What you will own
Design static and carousel ads for Facebook and Instagram.
Turn creative concepts, headlines and customer insights into clear, persuasive layouts.
Create variations of imagery, headlines, offers and layouts for advertising tests.
Produce product compositions, image treatments and retouching that make our food look appealing and accurately represented.
Design website and landing page layouts, banners and supporting graphics, working with the Ecommerce Lead on implementation.
Create email campaign assets and reusable templates that work well on mobile.
Adapt creative across placements and formats while maintaining readability and visual quality.
Work within our brand direction and help build a consistent library of templates and design assets.
Review advertising results with the creative and paid media teams, using what we learn to develop the next round of designs.
Manage feedback, deadlines, source files and versions so work is easy to review, update and reuse.
Check copy, imagery, dimensions and exports before handing over finished assets.
What you will bring
Professional graphic design experience, with a portfolio showing digital advertising and ecommerce work.
Strong typography, layout, composition and image-editing skills.
Confidence using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Figma, or equivalent tools.
An understanding of visual hierarchy and how to communicate a message quickly on a mobile screen.
Experience developing multiple creative approaches from a single brief.
The ability to deliver consistently across several briefs and deadlines.
Confidence explaining your design decisions and responding constructively to feedback.
Interest in commercial results and improving creative through testing.
Experience with food, consumer brands or the US market would be valuable. Basic motion design skills would also be useful.
Your first 90 days
You will become familiar with our brand, customers and products, help build the launch creative library and establish reliable design templates and file organisation.
You will deliver advertising and digital assets for launch, then work with the team to improve designs as campaign results become available.
You will help shape how a new food brand appears to customers across the United States.
Working alongside a dedicated creative and paid media team, you will see your designs go live, learn how they perform and have room to contribute ideas from the beginning.
