Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities is seeking an HR Advisor on a fixed-term contract until 30 June 2028. The role supports leaders and teams across the employee lifecycle, delivering practical HR advice, coaching and compliant people practices.

You will work with the People Services team to implement initiatives, manage employment matters and build high-performing teams while championing Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and inclusive practices.

Qualifikationen

• Experience as an HR Advisor or similar generalist HR role.
• Working knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Ability to provide practical, credible, trusted advice to leaders.
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
• Sound judgement, resilience and a solutions-focused approach.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and ability to work with diverse communities.

Aufgaben

• Provide timely, practical, customer-focused HR advice and coaching to leaders and employees.
• Support people leaders across the employee lifecycle, including performance, conduct, development, leave and wellbeing matters.
• Partner with People Services to deliver people initiatives and change programmes.
• Assist leaders to apply employment legislation, policies and practices.
• Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.
• Collaborate with specialist People teams to deliver consistent people solutions.
• Use data and insights to identify trends, inform decisions and improve outcomes.
• Contribute to People Team projects and continuous improvement activities.
