Job summary

Kāinga Ora invites an HR Advisor to join on a fixed-term contract till 30 June 2028, providing trusted HR guidance across the employee lifecycle and partnering with leaders to foster high-performing teams. You will coach managers on employment matters, navigate policies, and support organisational priorities while ensuring compliant, people-centred practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in an HR Advisor role or similar generalist HR role.
• Working knowledge of NZ employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Ability to provide practical, credible, trusted advice to leaders.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, practical and customer-focused HR advice and coaching to leaders and employees.
• Support people leaders across the employee lifecycle, including performance, conduct, development, leave and wellbeing matters.
• Partner across the People Services team to deliver people initiatives and change programmes.
• Support leaders to apply employment legislation, policies, and people practices.
• Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.
• Collaborate with specialist People teams to deliver consistent and effective people solutions.
• Use people data and insights to identify trends and inform decision-making.
