Job summary

Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities is seeking an HR Advisor on a fixed-term contract until 30 June 2028 to support leaders and employees across the lifecycle. You will provide practical HR advice, coach leaders, and help ensure compliant people practices across the organisation.

You'll work with the People Services team to implement people initiatives and drive positive, high-performing teams, while navigating employment legislation and Te Tiriti o Waitangi considerations in a diverse workplace.

Qualifications

• Experience providing practical, credible HR advice to leaders.
• Ability to coach managers on employment matters and performance.
• Strong communication and relationship-building capabilities.
• Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and inclusive practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, practical HR advice and coaching to leaders and employees.
• Support leaders across the employee lifecycle including performance, conduct, development, leave, and wellbeing.
• Partner with People Services to deliver initiatives and change programmes.
