Job summary

Health New Zealand in Tauranga seeks a Technical Specialist to provide expert payroll system configuration, ensuring changes comply with the Holidays Act, tax requirements and other payroll legislation. You will implement robust testing and documentation to support audits and compliance.

You will translate legislative changes into accurate system configurations, develop test scripts, work with vendors to resolve issues, and identify opportunities to automate payroll processes while safeguarding

Qualifications

• 5+ years of payroll experience in a large, complex environment.
• Strong knowledge of New Zealand payroll legislation including Holidays Act, Wages Protection Act, Parental Leave and KiwiSaver.
• Experience configuring and testing payroll systems, QA and issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Configure and test payroll system changes and develop test scripts.
• Maintain documentation to support audit requirements.
• Interpret legislative changes into system configurations and coordinate with vendors for enhancements.
• Identify opportunities to automate and improve payroll processes and monitor data integrity.
