Job summary

Omnicom Advertising in Auckland is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our Finance team. You will support accurate, timely and compliant payroll across NZ pay cycles and work closely with People, Finance and external providers to resolve issues.

You’ll bring extensive NZ payroll processing experience, strong Excel skills and a thorough understanding of NZ payroll legislation. ADP payroll experience is ideal, though not essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in NZ payroll processing and administration.
• Thorough understanding of NZ payroll legislation and compliance.
• Experience with ADP payroll system is ideal, but not essential.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
• Ability to investigate discrepancies and resolve issues.
• High level of confidentiality, discretion and professional judgement.

Responsibilities

• Support accurate and timely payroll processing across all pay cycles.
• Prepare, enter and validate payroll data, including adjustments, allowances, deductions and leave payments.
• Review payroll outputs and investigate discrepancies.
• Complete payroll reconciliations, reporting and payroll controls.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation.
• Manager day-to-day payroll queries from employees and managers.
• Work closely with People, Finance and external payroll providers to revolve payroll matters.
• Support testing and implementation of payroll system and process changes.
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, data quality, controls and service delivery.
