Job summary

Bunzl Australasia is seeking a proactive payroll professional to manage the New Zealand payroll function and support payroll operations across NZ and Australia. You will deliver end-to-end payroll processing, maintaining compliance and accurate records, and support the broader APAC Payroll team.

Based in Auckland, with potential for Mulgrave (Melbourne) or Auckland, this hybrid role offers collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and a strong focus on compliance with NZ and AU

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in end-to-end New Zealand payroll processing with Australian payroll.
• Experience with Chris21/iChris payroll systems is preferred but not essential.
• Advanced Excel and MS Office skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Continuous improvement mindset to enhance processes.

Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end New Zealand and Australian payrolls, including timesheet imports.
• Maintain accurate records for all post-payroll activities.
• Liaise with stakeholders to ensure salaries, wages and related payments are processed accurately and on time.
• Respond to payroll-related enquiries and process requests promptly and professionally.
• Support ad hoc Australian payroll activities as required.
• Ensure compliance with payroll legislation and IRD requirements.
