Job summary

Omnicom Advertising in Auckland is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our Finance team. You will support accurate, timely and compliant payroll across NZ pay cycles and work closely with People, Finance and external providers to resolve issues.

You’ll bring extensive NZ payroll processing experience, strong Excel skills and a thorough understanding of NZ payroll legislation. ADP payroll experience is ideal, though not essential.

Responsibilities

• Review payroll outputs and investigate discrepancies.
• Complete payroll reconciliations, reporting and payroll controls.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation.
• Manager day-to-day payroll queries from employees and managers.
• Work closely with People, Finance and external payroll providers to revolve payroll matters.
• Support testing and implementation of payroll system and process changes.
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, data quality, controls and service delivery.

We're looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our Finance team at Omnicom Advertising.

Omnicom Advertising is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join a supportive and fun finance team. This isn't just another payroll position, you'd be working with a system that’s relatively uncommon in the NZ market, building a distinctive piece of system expertise.

The role

The Payroll Specialist will support the accurate, timely and compliant delivery of payroll across Omnicom Advertising.

Working closely with the NZ Finance team, HR team, payroll officers and staff, you'll play an important role in day-to-day payroll processing, data validation, reconciliations, reporting and payroll queries.

Responsibilities

• Assist with payroll system, HRIS and data integration and documentation.

• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, data quality, controls and service delivery.

What will you bring?

We're looking for a Payroll Specialist or Analyst that has extensive experience in NZ payroll processing and administration, who has a thorough understanding of NZ payroll legislation and compliance.

• Experience working with ADP payroll system is ideal, but not essential.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Experience with payroll reconciliations, reporting and financial controls.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
• Ability to investigate discrepancies and resolve issues.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
• High level of confidentiality, discretion and professional judgement.
