Job summary

Beca in Auckland seeks an experienced Payroll Manager to lead end-to-end payroll services across New Zealand. You will drive accuracy, compliance, and timeliness while shaping process improvements and system enhancements.

You will manage a team, collaborate with Finance and HR leaders, and ensure governance over Workday payroll (Datapay) with a focus on regulatory changes and operational excellence. The role offers a supportive, inclusive culture and opportunities to impact people outcomes

Qualifications

  • Significant-sized end-to-end payroll delivery experience.
  • Experience with Workday and payroll systems is preferred.
  • Knowledge of employment legislation, taxation, and statutory obligations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee end-to-end payroll operations to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain governance and controls across payroll, GL interfaces, reporting and compliance.
  • Support enhancements and optimisation of payroll and HCM systems.
  • Monitor changes in regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Manage annual payroll activities including remuneration reviews and year-end reporting.

This is an exciting opportunity for a payroll professional who combines technical expertise with strong leadership skills and a passion for continuous improvement.Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate, compliant, and timely delivery of payroll services while driving operational excellence, enhancing systems and processes, and developing a high-performing team.**Mōu ake | About you**You’ll be experienced in significant-sized end-to-end payroll delivery – if you have experience with our new HCM (Workday) and payroll (Datapay) systems even better!
