Lower Hutt | Permanent | Monday to Friday
If you're confident, practical and have experience across payroll, accounts and purchasing in a busy operational environment, this could be a really good fit.
Our client is an established Lower Hutt-based business operating in a busy, hands-on environment. Their administration team plays an important role in keeping the wider business moving, and they're looking for someone who can become a reliable, trusted part of that function.
This is a varied role covering payroll, accounts support, purchasing and wider office administration. It would suit someone who enjoys being across different areas of a business, likes understanding how things work and isn't afraid to get stuck in.
You'll be working closely with both office and operational teams, so personality matters just as much as technical ability. We're looking for someone approachable, resilient and confident dealing with different personalities.
The position itself spans payroll, invoicing, purchasing, supplier administration and wider operational support.
You'll ideally have experience within manufacturing, engineering, construction, logistics or another hands-on operational environment.
Previous payroll and accounts experience is important, along with some exposure to purchasing or procurement. You don't need to know every product or material from day one, but you should be comfortable understanding what you're purchasing, why it's needed and how it fits into the wider operation.
Experience using an ERP system is also important. We're open on the specific platform, as long as you're comfortable working within more detailed systems and understand how purchasing, accounts and operational information connect. The formal brief specifically calls for administration experience in a manufacturing or construction environment, alongside ERP and financial process knowledge.
You'll suit this role if you're someone who:
If you've got solid payroll and accounts experience and enjoy working in environments where people are straightforward, practical and busy, we'd love to hear from you.
