Job summary

Archway Recruitment in Wellington is seeking an experienced Payroll Advisor for a part-time role with flexible, hybrid working. You will take ownership of payroll processes across weekly, fortnightly and monthly cycles, ensuring accuracy and timeliness while complying with NZ legislation.

Qualifications

  • Previous payroll experience in a medium to large organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of New Zealand payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Experience using payroll systems and HRIS platforms.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate payroll issues.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive approach and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

About the Role You will be responsible for payroll processing and providing expert payroll support across the organisation. You will work closely with HR, Finance, and people leaders to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and organisational policies.
