Job summary

Fonterra is expanding its Payroll Services team in New Zealand. As a Payroll Analyst, you will support accurate and on-time payroll processing for employees, managers and partners, handling changes, timesheets, allowances and deductions in a high-volume environment.

Based in Auckland or Hamilton, this permanent full-time role offers flexibility in where you join the team and opportunities to contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year payroll experience in a high-volume environment.
• Solid knowledge of New Zealand payroll legislation and employment agreements.
• Experience interpreting payroll policies and agreements.
• Experience with payroll, ERP or time-and-attendance systems including SAP or Oracle is beneficial.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end payroll activities, including employee changes, timesheets, allowances, deductions, terminations and adjustments.
• Respond to employee and manager payroll queries, resolving routine matters and escalating complex cases appropriately.
• Apply New Zealand payroll legislation, collective agreements, individual employment agreements and P&C policies accurately.
• Maintain payroll and time-and-attendance records and resolve routine system or integration exceptions.
• Prepare standard payroll reports and third-party payments for review.
• Support payroll testing and system, legislative or process changes.
• Follow payroll controls and audit requirements, identifying errors and risks early.
• Contribute ideas that improve payroll processes, service quality and the employee experience.
