Job summary

Dynamite Recruitment is seeking a Payroll Analyst in Christchurch to join a busy finance and HR environment. You will support end-to-end payroll across multiple payrolls, ensuring deadlines are met and data is accurate.

Ideal candidates will have strong knowledge of UK payroll processes, payroll reconciliations, and Excel proficiency, with attention to detail and a service-focused approach for employees.

Qualifications

• Experience in end-to-end payroll processing.
• Knowledge of payroll reconciliations and discrepancy investigation.
• Strong Excel skills including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP and SUMIFS.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end processing of multiple payrolls, ensuring accuracy and deadlines.
• Prepare and validate payroll changes, check data and investigate discrepancies.
• Complete payroll reconciliations, variance checks and payroll comparisons.
• Collaborate with external payroll providers to resolve queries and discrepancies.
• Assist with PAYE, National Insurance, pensions and related payments.

The role will suit someone who enjoys working with payroll data, reconciliations and resolving discrepancies, with a strong focus on accuracy, compliance and providing a high level of service to employees.

The Payroll Analyst Role:

• Support the end-to-end processing of multiple payrolls, ensuring accuracy and deadlines are consistently met
• Prepare and validate payroll changes, checking data and investigating any discrepancies
• Complete payroll reconciliations, variance checks and payroll comparisons
• Work with external payroll providers to resolve queries and discrepancies
• Support calculations relating to PAYE, National Insurance, statutory payments and pensions
• Assist with benefits and pension administration
• Maintain accurate payroll records, processes and documentation
• Support payroll reporting, projects and process improvements

The Ideal Payroll Analyst Candidate:

• Previous experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of UK payroll processes and statutory requirements
• Experience with payroll reconciliations, variance analysis and identifying discrepancies
• Good understanding of PAYE, National Insurance, pensions and statutory payments
• Strong Excel skills, particularly Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP and SUMIFS
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy
