Westpac New Zealand Ltd is seeking a Lead Engineer in Payments Technology to shape the technical direction, mentor engineers, and drive high-quality payment systems. You will bridge technology leadership with squads to align with the Payments strategy, modernize practices, and deliver reliable software.

You will lead discussions, define roadmaps, and ensure decisions align with strategic goals while fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in app development, including leadership roles.
• Proven ability to design and implement scalable systems architecture.
• Strong understanding of Quality Engineering and automation.
