Job summary

Jora New Zealand is running a major Payroll Transformation Programme focusing on PayGlobal system enhancements, pay cycle changes, and Holidays Act remediation. The role involves preparing and executing test cases, managing defects, and supporting UAT to ensure payroll outcomes are accurate and compliant.

You will work closely with the Payroll Test Manager in a structured, collaborative environment, bringing strong payroll knowledge and hands-on testing experience to deliver high-quality results.

Qualifications

• Experience with payroll systems in a testing or QA role.
• Hands-on PayGlobal experience (essential).
• Understanding of the NZ Holidays Act 2003.
• Ability to create and execute structured test cases and test scripts.
• Familiar with defect/test management tools (e.g., JIRA).

Working closely with the Payroll Test Manager, you will be responsible for preparing and executing test cases, managing defects, supporting UAT, and ensuring payroll outcomes are accurate, compliant, and fit for purpose. This role requires strong payroll knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and hands-on testing experience.

Key Requirements

• Experience working with payroll systems in a testing or QA role
• Hands-on experience with PayGlobal (essential)
• Strong understanding of the New Zealand Holidays Act 2003
• Experience creating and executing structured test cases and test scripts
• Proficiency with JIRA or similar defect/test management tools
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Payroll transformation or Holidays Act remediation experience
• Workday integration experience
• Exposure to HRIS and payroll integrations
