Job summary

Jora New Zealand is seeking a Payroll Team Leader to lead an established payroll function within a busy, national operation. The role is permanent, hands-on, balancing leadership with delivery.

You will manage a payroll team, oversee end-to-end payroll with PayGlobal, and partner with HR and finance to drive process improvements while supporting growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in high volume NZ payroll environments.
• Minimum 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Exposure to PayGlobal and PowerBI preferred.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to lead through change and growth.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This well-known organisation with a strong national presence is looking for a Payroll Team Leader to join their high-performing team on a permanent basis. You will be part of a collaborative environment that values continuous improvement and operational excellence.

In this role, you will lead an established payroll team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while supporting ongoing growth. It's a hands-on position where you will balance leadership with delivery, driving process improvements and building capability within the team.

KEY DUTIES
