Job summary

North West Ultrasound is seeking an experienced receptionist to join our team on a full-time contractor basis in Hobsonville, Auckland. You will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming experience and smooth day-to-day clinic operations.

The role involves greeting patients, scheduling appointments, answering calls, managing referrals, maintaining records, processing payments and coordinating with healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

• Experience in reception, administration or customer service.
• Healthcare or medical reception experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organised and able to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
• Confident answering phones and dealing with patients.
• Good computer skills and able to learn practice management software.
• Understands the importance of patient confidentiality.
• Friendly, professional and positive attitude.
• Reliable, punctual and takes pride in their work.
• Comfortable working independently while also being part of a small team.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and welcoming patients in a friendly and professional manner.
• Booking, changing and coordinating patient appointments.
• Answering telephone enquiries and assisting patients with their queries.
• Managing referrals and patient information.
• Maintaining accurate patient records.
• Processing payments and completing general administrative duties.
• Liaising with sonographers, referring doctors and other healthcare professionals.
• Keeping the reception and waiting area clean, tidy and welcoming.
• Supporting the team with day-to-day clinic administration.
