Job summary

Programmed in Auckland requires an experienced Pastry Chef to join a busy meat processing facility serving 300-400 staff daily. The role focuses on producing a range of pastries and baked goods in a high-volume site, with training, PPE, and uniform provided.

The environment is fast-paced and safety-focused, offering strong career development opportunities on an international level. Shift patterns include early starts with 8-hour shifts, five days a week, including at least one weekend.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar baking role.
• Experience in a high-volume commercial kitchen preferred.
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques and food safety requirements.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, slices, muffins, and other baked goods
• Ensure products are consistently presented to a high standard
• Assist with general food preparation and cooking duties
• Support meal service for a large workforce
• Maintain food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness standards
• Assist with stock rotation and other general kitchen duties as required
