Job summary

Skyline in Queenstown, New Zealand seeks a Pastry Chef to assist in preparing menu items, maintaining quality, and ensuring presentation and service in a fast-paced pastry kitchen. You will follow Head Pastry Chef’s directions while upholding safety, hygiene and administrative standards.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of pastry chef experience or a relevant qualification, with strong patisserie skills and a can-do attitude. Buffet production experience is a plus, and staff benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 4+ years pastry chef experience or relevant qualification.
• Experience in a similar high-end, high-volume kitchen.
• Extensive knowledge of patisserie with technical ability and attention to detail.
• Experience in buffet production is desirable.
• Can-do attitude with excellent communication skills.
• Passion for providing fantastic service and quality product.
• High level of food safety and hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Assist in efficient preparation of menu items, portions, quality, presentation and service in the pastry kitchen.
• Follow Head Pastry Chef’s directions and task allocation to high professional standards.
• Maintain safety, security, hygiene and administration standards.
