Truckstops, a Sime Motors subsidiary, is seeking a Parts & Service Assistant at our Christchurch supersite. This split role provides support across parts and service, helping customers, technicians, and workshops stay on track.

You’ll manage enquiries, bookings, parts procurement, invoicing, and admin tasks, with emphasis on accuracy and teamwork. Experience in servicing or parts operations is valued; training and career development offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service roles, preferably in automotive or heavy transport.
• Ability to build relationships and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Able to juggle multiple priorities with attention to detail.
• Proficient with computer systems, invoicing platforms and administrative processes.
• Effective communication with customers, technicians, suppliers and colleagues.

Responsabilités

• Service Support: Manage customer enquiries, service bookings, and job card creation.
• Monitor repair progress, obtain approvals for additional work and update customers.
• Liaise between customers, technicians and suppliers to ensure efficient workflow.
• Parts Support: Source, order, receive and distribute parts for workshop and customers.
• Monitor inventory levels, stock movements and assist with stocktake.
• Prepare parts quotations and identify cost-effective procurement solutions.
• Coordinate parts freight, deliveries and promote parts products and services.
• Administration: Prepare, review and invoice WIP for Parts and Service; ensure costs and approvals are complete.
• Process supplier and outworker invoices, reconcile payments and EFTPOS settlements.
• Maintain branch administration including reporting, filing, payroll support, and customer documentation.
