Truck Stops (NZ) Ltd in Christchurch is seeking a Parts & Service Assistant to support customers, technicians, and parts operations across a split role. You will update customers on repair progress, arrange parts procurement, prepare invoices, and assist workshop administration to keep workflow smooth.

The position offers a hands-on environment where no two days are the same and a chance to build relationships in the heavy transport and automotive sector.

Qualifications

• Has experience as a service advisor in heavy transport or automotive industry.
• Enjoys building relationships and providing exceptional customer service.
• Able to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
• Confident using computer systems, invoicing platforms, and admin processes.
• Communicates effectively with customers, technicians, suppliers, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Service Support: manage customer enquiries, service bookings, and job cards; monitor repair progress and obtain approvals for additional work.
• Parts Support: source, order, receive, and distribute parts; monitor stock levels and assist with stocktakes; prepare quotations and coordinate freight.
• Administration: prepare, review, and invoice WIP; process supplier invoices; maintain branch admin including payroll support and records.
