Lumino Ilam Orthodontics is hiring a Sterilisation Assistant / Receptionist for a part-time, on-site role in Christchurch. You’ll perform sterilisation alongside reception duties, ensuring a welcoming patient experience and efficient daily operations.

The role offers structured hours Wed & Thu 8:00am–5:00pm, training provided, and a supportive team within New Zealand’s leading dental network.

Qualifications

• Dental/healthcare experience preferred; not essential.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional and friendly patient interaction.
• Confident with computer systems and learning new software.
• Reliable, punctual and team-oriented.
• Infection control commitment and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sterilise, and prepare instruments per infection control protocols.
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilisation trays.
• Maintain accurate sterilisation records and ensure equipment works.
• Welcome patients and create a positive first impression.
• Answer calls and assist with patient enquiries.
• Schedule and confirm appointments.
• Support patient check-in and check-out.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming reception area.
• Assist with admin tasks and general practice operations.
• Work with the clinical team for smooth day-to-day operations.
