Lumino Ilam Orthodontics in Ilam, Christchurch, is hiring a reliable Sterilisation Assistant / Receptionist for a part-time role on Wednesdays and Thursdays 8:00am–5:00pm. You will mix sterilisation duties with reception tasks, helping maintain infection control and deliver outstanding patient care.

Qualifications

• Experience in a dental, healthcare, sterilisation or customer service environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sterilise, and prepare instruments per infection control protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilisation trays for clinical procedures.
• Maintain accurate sterilisation records and ensure equipment functions correctly.
• Welcome patients and create a positive first impression.
• Answer phone calls and assist with patient enquiries.
• Schedule and confirm appointments using the practice management system.
• Support patient check-in and check-out processes.
• Maintain a clean, organised reception area.
• Assist with administrative tasks and general practice operations.
• Work closely with the clinical team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
