Metlifecare in Paraparaumu seeks a dynamic Resident Experience Manager to organise social events and foster a welcoming village.

This part-time role (22 hours per week, Tue-Fri 10am-4pm) focuses on encouraging resident connection, onboarding, and village communications, with a strong emphasis on wellbeing and dignity.

Qualifications

• Experience in events, customer experience, hospitality, community engagement, or a similar people-focused role.
• Highly organised, and confident building relationships with a wide range of people.
• Love creating memorable and meaningful connections.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver events, outings, and experiences that create a thriving community atmosphere.
• Foster resident wellbeing, inclusion, and connection across all areas of village life.
• Coordinate onboarding initiatives including welcome experiences, introductions, and buddy programmes.
• Manage village communications, newsletters, digital platforms, and resident engagement tools.
• Support residents to access wellness and assisted living services while maintaining independence and dignity.
• Build strong relationships with residents, families, local community groups, and service providers.
• Champion a resident-first culture and help bring the unique “village vibe” to life every day.
