Job summary

Bupa Cashmere View Care Home is hiring an Activities Coordinator on a permanent part-time basis (28 hours per week). You will plan and deliver group activities, individual engagement, and weekly outings, guiding a team to create meaningful, diverse programmes for residents across rest home and hospital levels.

The role requires leadership, strong interpersonal skills, and a genuine passion for enriching the lives of older people.

Qualifications

• NZQA Diversional Therapy Level 4 certificate (or working towards a DT qualification) is required.
• Minimum two years' experience in a healthcare or aged care environment preferred.
• Must hold a full, clean driver’s licence for weekly outings.
• Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 6 activities staff.
• Plan, develop, and lead activity plans for residents across care levels.
• Deliver group activities and weekly outings to engage residents.
• Ensure activities align with residents' interests and abilities and uphold dignity and cultural sensitivity.
