Job summary

Bupa Foxbridge Care Home in Te Rapa, Hamilton, is looking for an Activities Assistant to support residents with engaging group and individual activities. You’ll help review activity plans, foster a warm and stimulating environment, and build strong internal and external channels to support the programme.

We value empathy, creativity and a positive approach; NZ eligibility to work is required. Hours are casual and as required at the care home, with a 9am–3pm shift window.

Qualifications

• NZQA Certificate in Diversional Therapy Level preferred.
• Experience in aged care desirable.
• Demonstrate strong communication and empathy.
• Creative, friendly personality and a fun approach.
• Full NZ driver’s licence preferable.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and contribute to individual and group activities.
• Review and assess residents' activities programme.
• Promote a homely, stimulating environment for residents and families.
• Develop and maintain communication networks to support the activities programme.
