Job summary

Bupa Tararu Care Home in Thames is seeking a part-time Activities Coordinator to lead a small team and craft engaging activity plans for residents across rest home and hospital care levels.

Working 25.6 hours per week with a rotating 6-week roster, you will design personalised activity plans, ensure dignity and cultural sensitivity, and maintain professional development while driving community engagement and resident wellbeing.

Qualifications

• NZQA Diversional Therapy level 4 certificate or working towards a qualified DT
• Minimum two years’ experience in healthcare or aged care preferred
• Proven leadership skills to inspire and support others
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with residents, families and colleagues

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 2 activities staff
• Manage activity plans for residents across rest home and hospital levels
• Plan, develop and lead individualised activity plans based on assessments, interests and preferences
• Ensure residents are treated with respect, dignity and cultural sensitivity
• Demonstrate knowledge of and adherence to Bupa Health & Safety policies
• Maintain personal and professional development
