Job summary

Heritage Lifecare – Wanganui, North Island is seeking an Activities Assistant to join Broadview Lifecare. This permanent full-time role offers 32 hours per week with AM and Weekend shifts, delivering engaging activity programs to meet residents' physical, spiritual, cultural, cognitive and emotional needs.

You will plan, organise and deliver activities, outings and events, build relationships with residents and whanau, and work as part of a caring team in a warm environment that values empathy

Qualifications

• Proven experience caring for others, ideally within an aged care environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Full NZ drivers' license.
• Positive, compassionate attitude.
• Commitment to health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver activity programs meeting residents' physical, spiritual, cultural, cognitive and emotional needs.
