Job summary

Bupa Care Services NZ Limited is seeking an Activities Coordinator for a permanent part-time role in Lower Hutt. You will plan and deliver meaningful activities that bring purpose, connection, and daily routine to residents, including group and one-on-one engagements.

You’ll support the Blua App experience, helping residents, families, and care teams stay connected. Ideal candidates will have a NZQA Diversional Therapy Level 4 certificate (or working towards it), at least two years in healthcare

Qualifications

• NZQA Diversional Therapy Level 4 certificate or working towards DT qualification.
• Two or more years of healthcare or aged care experience preferred.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and support others.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with residents and families.
• Full, clean driver’s licence; role may involve driving the facility van.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 3 activities staff.
• Manage activity plans for residents across rest home and hospital levels of care.
• Plan and lead individualised activity plans for each resident based on assessments, interests and preferences.
• Ensure residents are treated with respect, dignity and cultural sensitivity.
• Support Bupa's Blua App experience and keep residents, whānau and care teams connected.
