Job summary

Bupa Cashmere View Care Home, part of Bupa Care Services NZ Limited, is seeking an Activities Assistant to support engaging resident programmes in a warm, home-like setting in Christchurch.

You will help with individual and group activities, contribute to activity planning, and maintain strong communication with residents, families, and staff. The role involves regional driving with a valid licence and a 28-hour weekly schedule.

Qualifications

• NZQA Certificate in Diversional Therapy Level preferred.
• Experience in aged care is desirable.
• Demonstrates enthusiasm, empathy and a passion for residents' wellbeing.
• Excellent communication skills with residents and families.
• Clean, full driver’s licence is preferable for resident outings.

Responsibilities

• Participate in individual and group activities for residents.
• Review and assess residents' activities programme.
• Promote a homely, stimulating environment for residents and families.
• Develop and maintain communication networks to support the activities programme.
