Job summary

Bupa Care Services NZ Limited in Thames is seeking an Activities Coordinator to lead two activities staff and deliver engaging programmes across rest home and hospital levels of care. You will plan, develop, and lead individualised activity plans based on assessments and resident interests, while ensuring dignity, respect and cultural sensitivity.

A NZQA Diversional Therapy level 4 certificate is required, with 2+ years in healthcare preferred.

Qualifications

• NZQA Diversional Therapy level 4 certificate (or working towards DT qualification).
• Minimum two years' experience in healthcare or aged care.
• Proven leadership skills and ability to motivate others.
• Creative and enthusiastic about developing engaging activities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of two activities staff.
• Manage activity plans for residents across care levels.
• Develop and lead individualized activity plans based on assessments and preferences.
• Ensure residents are treated with respect, dignity, and cultural sensitivity.
• Adhere to Bupa health and safety policies and maintain professional development.
