Job summary

NZ National Networks Limited is seeking a reliable Parcel Sorter for our Christchurch branch. You will assist with safe handling of freight, help meet delivery targets, and provide a on-time, damage-free service.

Key tasks include loading/unloading freight, accurate documentation, safe operation of equipment, and effective teamwork. Prior freight experience and a focus on safety are highly valued; forklift experience is a plus. The role is full-time with Monday–Friday shifts.

• Action bay labels, re-stack damaged freight, protect leaking product.
• Maintain good working relationships.
• Communicate effectively within a team environment.

We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Parcel Sorter to join our Christchurch branch! Hours: Monday – Friday, 10.30am – 7.00pm

About the role

Mō te tūranga. You will be responsible in assisting with the safe handling of freight, achieve target delivery goals, and strive to provide an on time, damage-free service.

• Load and unload all freight safely and securely.
• Achieve branch operational objectives by using On-time to scan freight efficiently.
• Ensure documentation accompanying freight is complete.
• Ensure all equipment is operated in a safe and proficient manner.
• Action bay labels, re-stacking of damaged freight, protecting leaking product.
• Maintain good working relationships.
• Communicate effectively within a team environment.

What will you bring?

Ōu Pūkenga? To be successful in this role, you will be physically fit, have excellent team coordination skills, and have some experience working with freight. Additionally, you will need:

• Prior work experience in the freight industry.
• A strong health and safety focus.
• F endorsed licence (preferred but not essential).
• Prior long fork experience (preferred but not essential).
• An understanding of dangerous goods laws (preferred but not essential).
