Oranga Tamariki—Ministry for Children in Paraparaumu is seeking a dedicated Workplace Administrator to support social workers and frontline kaimahi with essential administrative services. You will manage financial plans, data collection, scheduling, room bookings, phone reception, and liaison with vendors, staff and diverse communities, in a supportive, collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence.
• Strong computer skills and IT knowledge; typing and reporting experience.
• Ability to work with diverse cultural groups; knowledge of Tikanga Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to adapt to different audiences.
• Strong time management and prioritisation.
• Ability to liaise with vendors, staff and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist with financial plans, data collection and scheduling.
• Liaise with vendors, casual staff, and other stakeholders.
• Work with various cultural groups and people from different backgrounds.
• Book rooms, answer phones, and assist the reception desk.
• Organise welcomes/whakatau for newcomers and whānau as required.
• Deal with critical scenarios in a calm, professional manner.
