Job summary

Stepping Stone Trust in Christchurch provides crisis respite services and supportive community care. The role involves overnight leadership of staff, collaboration with managers, and delivery of trauma-informed, person-centred care for tāngata within SST services.

Candidates should have a nursing or social work background, current practising certificates, and strong communication skills. A full NZ driver’s licence is essential, with weekend work and night shifts included.

Qualifications

• Be a comprehensive Registered Nurse with current practice status and mental health experience.
• Registered Social Worker with experience and training in Mental Health is acceptable.
• Hold a valid Annual Practicing Certificate (Nursing Council) or SWRB registration.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to kaimahi across Christchurch SST services overnight.
• Collaborate with rostered staff and Service Managers/Team Leaders.
• Deliver person-centred, trauma-informed and recovery-focused outcomes for tāngata.
