Frontline Recruitment Group — Port Nelson, South Island, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse with Psychiatric or Mental Health nursing to lead a small multidisciplinary team in Nelson. This permanent, full-time Lead RN role offers $105,812 plus complexity allowance, five weeks’ annual leave after 12 months, four wellbeing days annually, and relocation assistance where applicable.

• Current NZ registration and APC as a Registered Nurse.
• Demonstrated experience in psychiatric or mental health nursing practice.

• Sound clinical judgment and the capacity to provide safe, high-quality mental health care in a crisis respite setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small, multidisciplinary team delivering crisis respite care with clinical oversight and staff coaching.
• Oversee rostering and administration duties across the team and ensure staffing coverage.
• Provide clinical governance and support staff development and performance.
• Participate in on-call rotation (one-in-thirteen weeks) with management backup.

Our client operates a respite mental health service in Nelson, providing crisis support and short-term care to individuals in acute need. The organisation is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with Psychiatric or Mental Health nursing background to lead this multidisciplinary team in a permanent, full-time leadership role. Based in a central Nelson office, this Lead RN role offers a remuneration package of $105,812 plus complexity allowance, five weeks' annual leave (after 12 months), four paid wellbeing days annually, and a relocation package where applicable. The successful candidate will provide clinical oversight, lead staff development, and manage rostering and administrative duties across a small team, with one-in-thirteen-week on-call responsibilities supported by management backup and an on-call allowance.
