Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora seeks Outpatient Administrators for a six-month fixed-term and casual positions at Wellington Kenepuru and Hutt Valley Hospitals. The role covers patient registration, referrals, scheduling, and frontline reception within the Booking Centre and related services across District Capital, Coast and Hutt Valley.

Monday–Sunday shifts 7:30am–8:00pm with flexibility required. The salary range is $73,476 to $84,754 (pro rata) depending on experience, with opportunities

Qualifications

• Ability to deliver patient-centred service with confidentiality.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in health or clinical reception manners is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and manage referrals, scheduling first specialist assessments.
• Maintain the central patient enquiry service for rescheduling and general inquiries.
• Provide front line reception at main atrium and support booking across clinics.
