Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, Wellington, is seeking Outpatient Administrators for six-month fixed-term and casual roles to support patient registration, scheduling, and front-line reception across Capital, Coast and Hutt Valley sites.

You will manage referrals, coordinate first specialist assessments and provide a responsive patient enquiry service, including after-hours reminders. The role requires flexibility across hours and sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage registration, referral lists, templates and scheduling of first specialist assessment.
• Provide central patient enquiry service for rescheduling or cancelling appointments and general information.
• Outbound call reminders to patients in the evenings as part of initiatives.
• Provide front line customer service at the main atrium reception for patients attending clinics or admissions.
• Support the Team Leader to design new processes and participate in quality improvement across the District Capital, Coast and Hutt Valley.
