Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora at Wellington Hospital is seeking a patient administrator to support the patient journey from referral to discharge. The role covers clinics across CCDHB on a Monday–Friday roster, up to 20 hours per week, with hours from 7:30 to 17:30.

You will ensure quality, customer-focused reception, liaise with clinical teams, manage bookings to minimise waiting times, and review patient information in the management system, following up on missed appointments.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality, customer-focused reception services for patients attending clinics or making phone inquiries.
• Liaise with clinical teams and strengthen clinical and non-clinical relationships to support the patient journey.
• Ensure booking protocols are followed to minimise waiting times and review patient information in the Patient Management System.
• Follow up with services for patients who have missed appointments to ensure continuity of care.
